Woohoo, Summer is nearly here!

After the seasons first BBQ we went to have one last viewing of the new house we've very nearly bought and then hit the beach :-) 22'C was the high today, actually put a bit of sunny on, didn't want my very white legs getting frazzled on their first outing :-)

Have you seen my Cheerio anywhere Daddy?

Rohan has found a new breakfast cereal he likes, Cheerios. in fact he likes them so much he regularly eats them dry as a snack.

Another fun thing with Cheerios is that with just a little bit of spit you can stick them to almost anything :-)

Step 2.

This year were going to give camping another try. We gave it a shot when Rohan was 6 months old but it didn't work out. Now we've got a bigger tent and a new camp bed for Ro, seeing as we've sold his port'a'cot.

Yesterday, in step 1, Ro couldn't wait to try sleeping out his new bed but he wasn't keen on being in a sleeping bag. Tonight, after quite a bit of cajoling, I finally convinced him to try out his 'blue caterpillar bag'. As soon as he was in there he loved it :-)

And as you can see, a couple of hours later he's still in there. Now we just need to try step 3, actually camping. Wish us luck!

 

Watch out PreSchool!

There is little hope for Rohan when it comes to food, a product of his parents love for it I'm afraid.

Ever since about 2 years old he's loved garlic bread. Here he has just liberated his second piece of the night. I'd better apologise up front to all his preschool chums; " Don't get too close to Ro tomorrow! And don't let him breath toward you either, not if you value your sense of smell that is." :-)

 

Phew!

Due to a nasty cough Rohan didn't sleep wonderfully well last night. He's getting better but still tired during the day.

Today we hit the 5.30pm munchkin hour at 10am while trying to view an open home. We ended up leaving early due to the amount of noise he was making.

So it is with some relief that we finally convinced Ro to go for a sleep before we got to the second house of the day. I'm writing this while viewing the property in Tag Team format with Tricia.

What do you do when a 7.1 earthquake has shut all the schools for at least two days?

Why go to the South Pole of course!

Here Rohan is enjoying the snow in the -18°C storm room. Another sure sign he's a mini-me is his cold tolerance. Other kids had been in for 10 mins and then left as it was too cold. Rohan only wanted to leave after 17 mins when the sound fx for the fake storm grew too loud. Within minutes of the storm 'passing' he wanted to go back in :-)

Those aren't his real shoes by the way! You have to wear overshoes to keep the snow from getting dirty and those 'clown feet' are the smallest size they had :)
